What are good moral values?

Morality derived from Latin moralitas “character, proper behavior, manner”) is a feeling of behavior or conduct that separates decisions, intentions and actions between those that are good (or right) and bad (or wrong). A moral code is more like a system of morality (like, according to a particular philosophy, religion, culture, etc.) and a moral is any one teaching or practice within a moral code. Immorality is the active opposition of morality, while amorality is defined as an unawareness of, indifference toward, or disbelief in any set of moral standards or principles.

Good Moral Values have two principal meanings:

* In its most descriptive sense, morality is known to personal or cultural values, codes of conduct or social mores that distinguish between right and wrong choices in the society. Describing morality in this way is not a claim about what is objectively right or wrong, but only referring to what is considered to be right or wrong by a person or group such as a religious group. This sense of the morality is addressed by descriptive ethics.
In its “normative” sense, morality pertains to what is right and wrong, regardless of what specific people think. It could be noted as the conduct of the ideal “good moral values” person in a certain situation. This usage of the term is characterized by “definitive” statements such as “That act is immoral” rather than descriptive ones such as “Many believe that act is immoral.” The normative usage of the term “good moral values” is addressed by normative ethics.
